To help me create a range of studies using different techniques and processes, I created a concertina book featuring a variety of visual studies.
I found this activity very beneficial in pushing me to recognise that I don’t just have to draw with one line, in one colour on one type of paper.
I want to experiment with alternative materials, techniques, and processes so that my work doesn’t seem boring or ordinary.
Even though the studies were all created in black, it was appropriate for the images that I was drawing. However, it has influenced my decision that I need to introduce colour into my work, somehow, so that the viewer does not get bored with the same thing every time.
